Family Day Offiste Skate & Helmet Rentals
There will be No Offsite Rentals from Stouffville Arena or Clippers Sports Complex on Family Day until after 3PM.
Due to multiple private events happening at Stouffville Arena and Stouffville Clippers Sports Complex on Family Day (Monday, February 17, 2025), we will not be offering offsite rentals from these locations for the majority of the day. However, we understand that many families will still want to enjoy outdoor skating at places like Memorial Park Skating Trail, local community rinks, or even their grandparents’ pond.
To help meet this demand, we are offering a special pre-booking option for skate and helmet rentals to ensure you have the gear you need for the holiday weekend! We will do our best to bring in skates and helpmets from another location. We endeavor to ensure everyone has a great family day.
We will be closing at Stouffville Arena at 5PM, and Stouffville Clippers Sports Complexe will be closing at 6PM on Family Day.
Booking Process
How to Pre-Book Your Rentals
To secure your skates and/or helmets, follow these steps:
- Complete the Pre-Booking Form (available on this page).
- Submit your booking before Thursday, February 13 at 5:00 PM.
- Check your email on Saturday, February 15 for a confirmation of your booking.
- Pick up your rental on Sunday, February 16 between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM.
🚨 Important note: There will be no 24-hour rentals available on Sunday, February 16. All weekend rentals must be returned at least one hour before close on Sunday (exact time will be confirmed at booking).
Sizing & Fitting
To ensure the best fit, we provide two options:
- Measure at Home: Use our skate size chart and measurement guide below to determine the best fit.
- Visit Our Shop: Drop by in advance and we’ll fit your skater properly.
Regardless of how you size, all rentals must be pre-booked using the online form.
Sizing & Fitting
Your helmet needs to fit properly for it to work as designed. So the first thing you need to do is measure your head.
Measuring your head circumference
To find your helmet size, place a measuring tape on the back of your head. Run the tape to the front of your head, meeting about 1/4 of an inch (6.35 millimeters) above your eyebrows. Pull the tape tight. This measurement is your head circumference.
Skate sizes are different than shoe sizes, anywhere from 1 to 4 sizes different so it’s important to follow this process carefully. Skates that are too big can cause injury.
Measuring your Skate Size
To find your skate size, measure from the tip of the heel to the tip of the biggest toe in centimeters, and check the chart below to find the skate size closest to your measurment.
